John had dreamed of bagging a trophy elk in Colorado’s backcountry for years, but a last-minute flight delay and lost gear nearly ruined his trip. When he finally arrived at camp—exhausted, frustrated, and without his rifle—we knew we had to step in.
Our team outfitted him with a loaner rifle, top-quality gear, and, most importantly, a solid game plan. We scouted a new location that had fresh signs of movement and guided him into position before dawn. By midday, John had his shot—a massive 6x6 bull that took us nearly six hours to pack out.
